Well hello there! I’m Bobbie, and sometimes I ride a bike in a dress.

I started blogging when I was pregnant with T (the tiny person up there in the trailer). Originally, I wanted a place to talk about running and stuff, but then, since I was rather large and it was hot out, I had to quit for a bit. Then I became a mom and wanted a way to keep family and friends up to date on what T’s doing.

So, that’s what I do here. Some days I write about running; some days I write about T; some days I just complain about things (sorry if that bugs you, it’s cheaper than therapy). I don’t blog everyday. I’d like to, but with a tiny human and a house to clean, it doesn’t always go down that way.

Here are a few other things you need to know:

I’m married to Paul. He’s a bit shy around the blog, but I talk about him a lot. He takes a lot of the really good pictures here (I try, but his are better). He’s also a nerd, which simply put, means he keeps the blog looking pretty when I can’t figure out which widget to use. He comes in a non-bearded version too.

T joined us on September 25, 2011, three days before my 25th birthday (which I don’t remember, being that I was a breastfeeding machine and pretty much on auto pilot the first month of his existence). I like to write him letters and share a lot of our daily adventures. In case you’re wondering, I have chosen not to use his full name, not because I’m worried about him for safety reasons, but because I share so much of his life that I think he should have something that is still his and his alone.

Tobias was the baby in the family, but then T came along, and he got demoted to just the cat in the family. He still thinks the house is his and doesn’t appreciate T’s enthusiasm. Sometimes he can be sweet, but most of the time he is just in the way. Not that we don’t love him all the same.

I know my story isn’t all that unique, and I am not a running or parenting expert. I like to share things from my own experiences. I can be awkward and sarcastic at times and I think it makes me seem grumpier than I am. Please take everything I say with a grain of salt. And an added emoticon ;)

I welcome your comments and feel free to shoot me an email at bobbie(at)runbobbierun(dot)com if you have questions or just wanna be friends. Thanks for stopping by!
